Mobile Homes for sale in the Pyrenees
The Pyrenees span the southern border of France and Spain and are completely different from one side top the next. The Med bit is dryer and lower, the middle is spectacular with ski resorts and Andorra in it, and the western side is wet and very green. Around St Jean de Luz, Bayonne and Biarritz is fascinating.
There are a few mobile home parks along the Atlantic coast but not as many as you might think. However, the sites that are there are usually small, family run and in spectacular locations overlooking surf beaches. The sites we definitely know that take privately owned mobile homes are a little bit inland of Bidart such as Le Ruisseau. As you move East along the French Pyrenees the campsite volume dwindles a bit but down in and around Auch and Pau there are a few. To be honest this is a bit of a camping no mans land.
This all changes when you get into the Pyrenees Orientales where there are thousands of sites. Every conceivable size, shape and style of site is in situe here. The highest concentration of campsites in France is in and around Argeles sur Mer and most of the sites there would love to sell you a mobile home. However, a little bit like the Vendee in terms of a high level of commercial awareness, these sites know how to charge and most force you to buy a French built unit through them. Camping La Sirene sells UK and French built mobile homes if you like the all singing and dancing experience. Or you could look at Pujols, Haras, Etoile d’or…. The list goes on in Argeles.
Slightly north and inland it’s a different story but that’s the Languedoc which is covered later.
