Wine lovers who are not in the Top 50 rich list will be well briefed on the benefits of buying a mobile home in the Loire. The sites are large, inexpensive and mostly well established parkland sites with the emphasis on relaxation rather than karaoke. You don’t find many campsites in big towns so obviously most of them are situated in and around some of the most famous vineyards in France - perfect.

If you prefer bier to wine, Tours is a great city and the countryside is stuffed with great little village PMU bars. If you want to buy a mobile home somewhere quiet with interesting but not spectacular surroundings the Loire is pretty good. Campsites are fairly abundant and with the increase in fly driving tourists going straight to the South the campsites are pretty owner-friendly.
