Mobile homes for sale in France

New Park Homes for Sale in France

A new mobile or park home is an option many people each year take in favour of a permanent holiday home purchase. There are no renovations to undertake, the home is brand new and most are finished to a very high standard. The parks are usually well designed and laid out and the choice of location is monstrous. The grounds, pool and facilities are all looked after by the park and purchase transactions can often be done in sterling within the UK .In fact it’s a very easy and hassle free way of buying and owning your own home in France. Breakaway has been delling new mobile and park homes for over 27 years and in that time have helped many people realize their dreams of a new life abroad. Siblu parcs are fantastic for a holiday and it is possible to purchase your own Holiday Home on almost any of their parks.

Pioneered by Siblu, most dealers / parc owners give you the option to try before you buy. This can mean that you pay for a short break then get your money back if you purchase (a bit like the Spanish Estate Agency trips).

15 years ago many campsites in France opened their doors to privately owned mobile homes which many British, Irish and French people took advantage of and bought mobile homes through agents. Smaller tour operators such as Allez France sold mobile homes to private owners in France on a leaseback basis as a way to fund fleet expension. Much of this occurred in great volumes on the West coast of France and in Brittany but the sites themselves made very little from the boom. The trend then shifted towards holiday rentals and the sites preference changed firstly towards British tour operators who rented pitches in bulk and installed their own rental fleet. Then the sites noticed how well these operators were doing between 2000 and 2003 and started buying their own vans and displacing the tour operators to get in on the act. The net result for owners was mass evictions and the introduction of a maximum age rule for privately owned mobile homes. Tour operators to France have struggled over the past 3 years or so with a few going bust and many sites taking pitches back to put their own units on. This has resulted in a glut of ex-rental units for sale and ironically a re-emergence of sites welcoming private owners instead.

However! The sites are far more savvy than they were and most charge a hefty price for getting through their gates and some force you to buy your mobile home through them. Siblu have operated like this for some time (because they are one of the few UK agents who own the parks).
